No agent, introduction or impeccable publishing history required. We read every submission and judge one thing only: the quality of the book.
What to send
Send a short covering note, a one-page synopsis and either the first three chapters or three to five stories. We consider prose fiction and literary translation.
More than a receipt
Your work is read by an editor and every submission receives a considered reply. Please allow twelve weeks; at busy points in the year, it may take a little longer.
Translations
For a proposed translation, include the original title, author and language, a sample in English, and any information you have about English-language rights.
